Reiki and the Mainstream
Reiki is moving mainstream these days - the latest published peer reviewed research indicating Reiki is effective for people recovering from heart attacks can be found here: Effects of Reiki on Autonomic Activity Early After Acute Coronary Syndrome. Clearly we're living in a transition period as Reiki goes mainstream - it's no longer as weird as it was!
You can find a selection of published peer reviewed articles on Reiki - and EFT! - on my website here: Research page
Not only is published research useful for promoting our own public practice, it is also a motivational reminder to self treat. If Reiki is so effective for those who are seriously ill, then it is clearly the most effective way of keeping ourselves physically healthy, particularly at this time of year, when the weather is changing. Daily practice also calms the mind, increases our awareness of connection to Source and, because our energy fields are holding more and more Reiki, the effect is catching - in a good way!
Reiki Goes Mainstream - On the Commute!
Even if you can't take an hour out for a full self treatment, try taking Reiki moments when you can: sitting on the bus/tube to work, place a hand on your thigh - Reiki goes where it's needed from where ever you place your hands; when you're on the phone, try placing a hand on your heart - surprising how calm you can feel when you do this, even when the person on the other end of the phone is unhappy.
As Reiki goes mainstream, you'll find more and more people recognize and appreciate your practice of it.
